Today I met representatives from Persimmon Homes and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) to learn about the grants that Persimmon Homes provides to charities such as RNLI. It was great to see to see this partnership in action and Persimmon Homes are also sponsoring the RLNI dinner dance in April, donating £1500 to the event!
I also visited the warm hub in Great Bromley, where I saw first-hand the incredible work being done to support the community—offering warmth, advice on heating, and help with benefit applications. I was impressed by the role of Energy Champions who provide general advice and who are apart of the Essex County Council partnership. These hubs are more than just a place to stay warm; they foster friendships and a strong sense of community.
