I had the pleasure of visiting Flow on Friday in Mersea, a fantastic local gym that’s not only focused on fitness, but also passionate about giving back to the community.
I learned about an incredible initiative they’re taking on to support Jacob, the 10-year-old son of fellow gym members Lydia and Harry Ackerman, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at just two years old.
In a powerful show of support, a group from Flow known as the Dumbbell Dozen will be coming together to lift the equivalent weight of a jumbo jet to raise money for the charity Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK).
It’s truly inspiring to see a community rally around a family with such determination and heart.
More details, including a link explaining how to donate, will be available in the coming weeks so do keep your eyes out to help support this wonderful initiative!
