Visted Littlegarth Primary School today to take part in a brilliant Q&A session with the children!
The students were incredibly engaged, we talked about local developments, how changes might affect their access to green space such as Middlewick, the state of our roads, and even tax policy. One student confidently asked, “Rachel Reeves is raising taxes next week, isn’t she? That’s not good!”
Always inspiring to see young people so switched on about the world around them!
In the evening, I attended the public meeting at Ardleigh put on by our wonderful Cllr Zoe Fairley to discuss the Norwich to Tilbury pylon project. Despite months of community concern, National Grid has made little meaningful progress in addressing the issues that matter most to the people who will live with the consequences.
The meeting made one thing undeniable: communities are not being listened to. Until National Grid seriously addresses these unresolved issues, the N2T project remains unacceptable, and our opposition will only strengthen!
