I spoke to the Health Minister, Neil Obrien, about reform of the NHS estates policy. This is crucial to provide proper support for developing new GP practice buildings, like I have been campaigning for in West Mersea. During our conversation, he reassured me that he is working on a new policy that he hopes to announce soon.
He cant yet provide a specific timeline for when the announcement will be made but I remain hopeful that these much-needed reforms will be implemented in the near future that will help places like Mersea get the facilities they need.
