Bernard's statement on A12 widening project in Essex being approved by Transport Secretary

The final approval of the A12 widening to three lanes both sides from Boreham to Marks Tey is long overdue but very welcome.  I first called for this nearly twenty years ago, and we need the extra capacity.  It will also reduce A12 road closures. The A12 is one of the lifeblood arteries of the North Essex economy.  It is busier than many motorways. Once completed, this will be huge boost for Essex and the whole region
